We’re celebrating the day we opened our doors, 50 years ago, in June of 1960. As a special thank you for all your patronage over the past half-century, we’re having a party in our pavilion! Come on Saturday, June 26th to the lakeside pavilion. We’ll have live music, great dessert buffet, cash bar and activities for the entire family. Dine at the Angus Barn the evening of the 26th and get into the party free, or buy advance tickets now. But hurry – limited space available!

Years ago, the Angus Barn ran out of bread during the middle of the night. In a panic, dough was taken out of the box without giving it time to rise, it was then flattened with a rolling pin. When it didn't rise in the oven, the flat bread was broken into pieces and tasted hot out of the oven! Delicious..... thus the story of our homemade crackers! It especially complements our famous blue and cheddar cheese spreads. Miss Willie Mae Green has been our cracker baker since the early 1970's.

We take great care in selecting our house wines. Our house Cabernet, Chardonnay and White Zinfandel are made by Wente Vineyards of Livermore, California, a very well respected producer that would be a premium wine at most restaurants. Our Merlot is a versatile Medium Bodied red wine with flavors of Black Cherry and Plum. It is produced by Bouchards Domaine Deshenry's in France.
